Update

Friday

The official report is that 13 inches of snow fell on Thursday night at mid-mountain. This was more than expected thanks to a line of intense snow that happened to track right over Steamboat for much of the night (if the line was a bit further north or south snow totals would have been lower).

The snow that fell on Thursday night was dense as summit temperatures were in the mid-20s, so expect surfy, deep conditions on Friday morning.

We will see an additional 4-8+ inches on Friday and with temperatures dropping during the day thanks to a cool wind from the west-northwest, the snow quality will become fluffier and the powder will ski very, very well. Enjoy!

Weekend

If snow lingers on Friday evening (watch the summit snow stake cam to see) then there will be additional fluffy powder to enjoy on Saturday morning. Otherwise, the weekend will be mostly dry with times of clouds and a few snow showers now and again.

Next Week

We’ll see two storms. The first storm will bring 3-6 inches on Monday into Monday evening with the softest powder on Monday during the afternoon. The second storm should bring light snow later in the week, around Thursday into Friday.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
