Update

GO SKIING!

This is a short post written on Wednesday night. I am traveling and cannot post a typical report on Thursday morning. I will resume the normal schedule on Friday morning.

But you do not need to read a longer post about the weather when there is deep fluffy snow to ski.

Steamboat received 4-5 inches on Wednesday afternoon and 4-5 inches from Wednesday sunset through Wednesday midnight (when I am writing this).

The morning report on Thursday should be deep with snow falling through Thursday midday.

The snow quality will be superb, blower, Champagne Powder at a ratio likely near or above 20-to-1 (20 inches of snow to 1 inch of liquid). There will be face shots. You will have fun. Get out there!

Looking ahead, another few inches could fall from later Thursday through Saturday morning, then the next shot of snow will be on Monday.

Thanks for reading and check back Friday morning for the next update!
