Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
Opening Day is scheduled for Friday, November 15th!
Here is a list of terrain and lifts that will be open: https://www.steamboat.com/things-to-do/events/steamboat-opening-day
Wednesday morning’s temperatures were not quite as cold as Tuesday and mountain cams did not show snow being made on the lower mountain. No worries, there will be enough snow to get a few lifts spinning starting on Friday.
For Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, expect dry weather, times of some clouds and also some sunshine, and the warmest temperatures on Friday when we’ll likely see readings rise into the upper 30s to 40s.
The next storm is still on track to bring snow from Saturday through Saturday night and I am going to stick with my forecast of 1-4 inches. There are still some scenarios that show higher totals, but with the fast-moving nature of the storm, I will keep my expectations in check. The timing of this storm means that you’ll likely be skiing in the snow on Saturday, with a chance for slightly softer and slightly fresher conditions on Sunday morning.
For the final two weeks of November, all models are showing a more active weather pattern with storms possible around Thursday, November 21 and again around Tuesday-Wednesday, November 26-27. Both of these systems are too far away for us to have confidence in the details of the forecast, though I am happy that it looks like we’ll get back on board the storm train starting next week.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
