Update

It’s Wednesday morning and the storm is on the doorstep. Expect three phases of this storm.

On Wednesday afternoon, expect a burst of snow with 1-5 inches of accumulation. It’s a wide range due to the uncertainty of the track of this burst of snow and also because temperatures will be warm so the lower mountain could see rain.

On Thursday, expect another burst of snow with 1-4 inches of accumulation. Temperatures will be colder and snow should fall down to the base.

And on Thursday night into Friday, we could see another few inches of snow as snow showers continue and temperatures cool even further.

Overall, this is not a favorable storm for northern Colorado due to the wind direction from the south for most of the time, though I hope that we’ll see 4-8 inches by the time the storm is over.

Following a dry weekend, all models show chances for a storm every few days during Thanksgiving week and the first week of December. This type of pattern makes me excited because consistent cold and snow over about a two-week period is what we need to open a lot more terrain. Let’s hope that this stormy scenario pans out, and of course, I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
