Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
The first part of the storm brought precipitation on Wednesday afternoon. As we discussed yesterday, temperatures were warm and the snow level was around mid-mountain with raindrops below that. At mid-mountain and the summit, the official report is that 2 inches fell during the afternoon.
Now on Thursday, the second part of the storm should move through with a few inches of snow possible during the day, and temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Wednesday.
On Thursday night, as the storm moves to our east, we’ll see the wind direction switch from south to west and northwest. This more favorable wind direction should deliver both colder air and a decent chance for 2-5 inches of overnight snow. Maybe Friday morning will offer a little bit of fresh snow on the open runs.
From Friday night through Sunday we will see dry weather, then expect two storms next week.
The first storm could bring snow from Sunday night through Tuesday morning with moderate totals (3-6+ inches).
The second storm could bring snow during multiple days around Thanksgiving with moderate to deep totals.
And the storminess could continue into the first week of December.
In short, it’s good news!
