Update

Monday will be mostly sunny with temperatures rising into the upper 20s to mid-30s. Enjoy this beautiful weather.

Then we’ll see three chances for snow during the following seven days.

The first storm will brush northern Colorado and bring 1-3 inches on Monday night into Tuesday morning. Little refreshes like this one don’t make the news but they do help to maintain and improve the snow quality.

The second storm will move through Colorado from Wednesday night into Thursday. This will be a weak system but it will bring a lot of moisture, and these weak-in-strength-but-high-in-moisture storms can often bring a bit more snow than expected. Because the storm will track through southern Colorado, I’ll keep my forecast low, maybe 1-4 inches, though we could get more snow than this if luck is on our side. For timing, Thursday should offer the softest snow.

The third storm of the week will bring snow from Saturday night through Monday. This energy from this storm could be split as it moves across Colorado, but it should be good for at least a few inches of accumulation and you might find soft snow on Sunday and/or Monday morning.

After that, our next chance for snow will be sometime between Thursday, December 12 and Sunday, December 15th. Since forecast accuracy out to 10+ days is quite low, I’ll leave this forecast vague and will keep you posted as that system moves closer in time.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
