Update

We were looking for just light snow on Monday night and Tuesday morning. The official Tuesday 500am snow report states 0 inches of new snow, though mountain cams show that light snow began to fall around or just after the time of the report, so you might find a little bit of new snow when lifts start spinning. Light snow showers could linger through the morning then should taper off by midday. We’ll see a decent amount of clouds throughout the day with high temperatures in the 20s.

The second storm of the week will bring snow from Wednesday night into Thursday. Forecast models remain confident that this storm will track through southern Colorado, though they oscillate between in their snowfall amounts here in the northern mountains with anywhere between a coating to 3 inches. That’s a reasonable forecast range, though a few models show a bit more snow than that, so we'll keep our eye on Thursday as a chance when we might see enough flakes to create a few soft turns during the day.

The third storm of the week will bring snow from Saturday night through Monday or even Tuesday, and the latest forecasts are slightly more favorable with 5-10+ inches falling during these days. If this storm works out, the best powder will likely be on Monday and soft snow could linger into Tuesday.

After that, our next chance for snow will be sometime between Thursday, December 12 and Monday, December 16th. I still have low to zero confidence about any details around this time period, so we’ll enjoy the next two storms this week and then we’ll work to figure out the period around mid-December.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
