Snow Thursday into Thursday night at Steamboat

Summary

Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunny and warm with high temperatures close to 30°F. Then we’ll see snow on Thursday with soft powder likely on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

Short Term Forecast

Monday was sunny and warm with a high temperature around 30°F, and Tuesday and Wednesday will be the same with warm sunshine and highs around 30 degrees. Enjoy the springtime feel in the air!

The next storm will bring snow during the day on Thursday with flakes likely continuing to fall until about Thursday at midnight. During Thursday morning and midday, expect on-then-off snow squalls, and on Thursday afternoon and Thursday night, expect the chance for steadier snow since this is when we’ll see a more favorable wind direction from the west-northwest. Total snowfall should be 2-6 inches with the best chance for soft turns either during Thursday's last chair or more likely Friday's first chair.

Extended Forecast

Friday and Saturday, March 5-6, will dry and warm with high temperatures in the 30s.

On Sunday, March 7, a weak system could brush us with clouds and a chance for a little bit of snow.

On Monday, March 8, we’ll return to warm and dry weather.

Then from March 9-11, a cold and strong storm should bring multiple days of snow to Colorado and we’ll have to watch these dates to see if there will be one (or two) powder days in the mix.
