Snow this weekend
Summary
Thursday will be warm, Friday will be somewhat warm, then we'll see colder temperatures and snow on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Update
Wednesday was mostly sunny and warm with a high temperature in the 40s.
On Thursday, we are already seeing a few more high clouds cover the sky, and while this might delay the warming and/or reduce our temperatures a little bit, we'll still see warm readings with highs in the 40s.
On Friday, there could be a few showers during the late morning or midday, but they likely won't amount to much.
Then we will see multiple rounds of snow during the weekend.
The first period of potentially intense snow showers will be on Friday night, with steady snow following on Saturday morning and midday. Snow accumulation of 3-8 inches is possible by Saturday midday.
The second period of showers will be late on Saturday night, with steadier snow again on Sunday midday, Sunday afternoon, and Sunday night. During this time, another 3-8 inches is possible, with the best chance for powder either during Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.
Since some parts of this upcoming storm will bring intense showers that will be like summertime thunderstorms (which can hit or skip us with little predictability), uncertainty in the forecast is high, especially with the showers on Friday night and the showers late on Saturday night into Sunday morning. Still, the potential for snow during the extended period from Friday night through Monday morning should result in at least multiple periods of softer conditions, and with a little luck, there will be a powder day or two on Saturday morning, Sunday afternoon, and/or Monday morning.
Following this storm cycle, we should see dry weather later Monday through Wednesday, then the next storms could bring snow around Thursday, March 10, Sunday, March 13, and Thursday, March 17.
