A wintry weekend coming up!

Summary

Snow will fall from Friday night through Monday with powder possible on multiple days.

Update

Thursday was a very warm day with highs in the 40s to low 50s and partly-to-mostly cloudy skies.

Now on Friday morning, clouds are covering the sky as the next storm approaches Colorado from the southwest.

This next storm will bring multiple rounds of snow from Friday through Monday. Here's my best effort to break it down:

  • Friday: Some showers during the middle of the day, maybe falling as rain. These showers will be light.

  • Friday Night: Hit-or-miss intense showers, snowfall could be anything from very little to 5+ inches.

  • Saturday: Steady snow during the morning and midday as the wind direction becomes more favorable and the first part of the storm strengthens over northeastern Colorado. Maybe we'll see 3-6 inches of accumulation and soft and fun conditions.

  • Saturday Night: More hit-or-miss intense showers, maybe not a lot of snow, but maybe we'll get lucky.

  • Sunday: Snowfall could become steadier during the afternoon and evening with 2-4+ inches. The best conditions could be during the last chair.

  • Sunday Night: Steady snowfall continues at least into the early part of the evening with another few inches of accumulation.

  • Monday: Fun and soft snow in the morning (powder?) and maybe a few more snow showers during the day.

Total snowfall from Friday night through Monday should be in the 8-16 inch range with conditions getting softer throughout the weekend and into Monday.

After the 72 hours of potential snow this weekend, there will then be three more chances for snow with storms on or around Thursday, March 10, Sunday, March 13, and Thursday, March 17. It's so fun to be back into a consistent storm cycle:-)

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
