Tracking two storms

Summary

Our next chances for snow will be from Wednesday to Thursday and then starting on Sunday, March 20.

Update

Monday started off with 4-6 inches of powder that fell on Sunday night and another inch or so accumulated on Monday morning. Then the sun came out for the rest of the day with classic spring skiing (sunshine & softening/heavier snow).

Tuesday will be sunny and warm with a high temperature in the 30s. It'll be another day of classic spring skiing day with softening/slushy snow on south-facing and lower-elevation slopes.

Wednesday will then flip back to feeling more like winter. We'll see snow showers with the best chance for a few inches of accumulation during the morning and midday. On Wednesday night and Thursday, there will be a mix of clearer skies and snow showers, and accumulations should be light. There is a LOT of uncertainty in this forecast, so there is some upside potential, but also, I am keeping my expectations low as the most snow from this storm will likely fall east of most big mountains here in Colorado. Again, the best time to enjoy some new snow from this storm will be on Wednesday.

Looking ahead, Friday and Saturday will be dry and warm with high temperatures in the 20s and 30s.

Then, between Sunday and Tuesday, we will have a chance to see more snow. If the storm strengthens over southeastern Colorado, we could see multiple days of snow with potential powder on Monday and Tuesday. If the storm strengthens a little bit farther to the southeast of Colorado, then it'll be too far away and we'll likely see less snow. It's too soon to make the call, so stay tuned!

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
