Quiet and chilly through the weekend, then a storm next week

Summary

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be mostly dry and mostly sunny with high temperatures in the teens to 20s.

Update

Thursday started out with 6-11 inches of new snow, then most of the day was dry with a few snow showers and also some sunshine.

Now on Friday morning, conditions are dry and the temperature is chilly with a reading in the low single digits.

Friday and Saturday will be similar days with mostly sunny skies and chilly temperatures that top out in the upper teens. The high March sun angle will help to make the temperature feel warmer than it actually is.

Sunday will be another dry and mostly sunny day, and the temperature will be 5-10 degrees warmer with a high in the low-to-mid 20s.

Next week, from Monday, March 20 to Friday, March 24, a strong storm will move through Colorado. Early in the week, from Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning, we could see less snow due to an unfavorable wind direction from the southwest, and warmer temperatures in the 20s could lead to denser snow quality. Then from Wednesday through Friday, we could see more snow due to a favorable wind direction from the west, and cooler temperatures in the teens should lead to fluffier snow quality.

Looking far into the future, it appears that the storm train will keep on rolling with another system possible during the weekend of March 25-26, and then yet another storm around Wednesday, March 29.
