Reminder: This season is starting with a much lower snowpack compared to average and compared to last season, so there are only a handful of trails open at the moment.

Sunday was mostly sunny and chilly with high temperatures in the 20s.

Monday and Tuesday will deliver similar weather conditions with high temperatures also in the 20s and mostly sunny skies on both days. This chilly air should allow snowmaking to continue and for the natural snow to stick around and not melt.

Wednesday will be another dry day with a high temperature in the 20s, and we'll see more clouds filtering the sunshine.

The next storm could bring snow as early as Thursday, November 30, but the most likely time of steadier snow should be between Friday, December 1, and early on Monday, December 4.

The first part of the storm on Friday into early Saturday could produce less snow due to an unfavorable wind direction from the southwest.

The second part of the storm from later Saturday through early Monday could produce more snow due to a favorable wind direction from the west and west-northwest.

It's still a little early to start talking about specific snowfall numbers, though we could approach double-digit totals if the details of the storm work out in our favor. The best chance for softer turns will likely be on Sunday into Monday, and perhaps this storm will help the operations team to open more terrain.

Next week should bring dry weather for at least a few days, likely from later on Monday, December 4 through about Thursday, December 7.

Then the next storm could also be timed for a weekend, with snow possible sometime between Friday, December 8 and Sunday, December 10.
