Happy New Year! It’s chilly in town on Friday morning (-16F, brrr) but actually warmer up on the mountain with temperatures between about -5F and 5F. We should warm up decently today under sunny skies, then temperatures will be much more comfortable on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with highs in the 20s and perhaps even the 30s.

Our next chance for very light snow will likely occur on Tuesday and Wednesday, though we will need to wait until next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to see heavier snowfall. Enjoy the sunny weather and soft snow conditions for now, and if you’re hoping for powder, start doing your snow dance in anticipation of later next week.
