Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

We’ll see clouds and gusty winds for most of Tuesday, and then the snow will finally make it to Steamboat, starting in the late afternoon and continuing through early evening. I think we’ll measure 2-4 inches during this first round of snow, though we could get more if a few of the stronger cells move directly over Steamboat. There should be a lull in the snowfall on Tuesday night, then a second round of snow should deliver 3-6 inches from Wednesday morning through Wednesday mid afternoon. This means that Wednesday should be a powder day, with fresh snow for first tracks and snow filling in your tracks through the day.

The snow should end on Wednesday late afternoon and Wednesday night, then another round of snow should produce 2-4 or 3-6 additional inches during the day on Thursday, so once again the conditions will likely get better through the day. This will now be the third consecutive week with powder – what a great spring this is turning out to be!
