Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

The mountain received 2 inches of snow on Sunday evening. I was hoping for more, but the most intense showers did not track over Steamboat early in the storm, so we weren’t able to sneak out higher totals. No worries, though, as more snow is in the forecast!

After a mostly sunny day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will offer a mix of sun, clouds, and a few snow showers. Then a colder storm will bring snow from late Wednesday night through Saturday with 5-10 inches of accumulation. Thursday should be a stormy day, and Friday should offer even softer and deeper snow. The wind during this storm will blow from the west, which is a favorable direction for Steamboat. The temperature will be a bit warmer than is ideal for the deepest snow, but it’ll be cold enough to snow and create a few powder days.

After this system, we’ll likely see drier weather for much of next weekend, and then the next storm should bring snow between February 27 to March 1.
