Update

It feels like winter again on Monday morning after a fast-moving storm dropped 3-4 inches on Sunday evening. The temperature is around freezing at the base and 18 at the summit, and combined with the fresh snow, it’ll feel more like February than April.

We should see a fair amount of sunshine on Monday, then the next storm will move into southern Colorado on Monday night into Tuesday morning. This southern track is not ideal for Steamboat, so I am only expecting light snow on Monday night.

On Tuesday, as the storm moves to the east of Colorado, the wind direction will shift to blow from the northwest, which is more favorable for Steamboat, so we may see more midday and afternoon snow showers that could amount to 1-3 inches. The snow showers will dissipate on Tuesday night.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be dry, partly sunny, and warmer. Then a series of storms will bring snow to Colorado between Saturday April 8 and Wednesday April 12. Stay tuned for more details on the snowfall potential!
