Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

Light snow is falling on the upper half of the mountain on Tuesday morning. However, the track of the current storm is over northern New Mexico, and this is too far south to bring significant snow to Steamboat. Instead, expect light snow and snow showers during the day Tuesday with a few flakes lingering into Tuesday evening.

Following this system, the weather on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be dry with temperatures increasing into the 40s for daytime highs. It’ll feel like spring once again!

But we are in an active weather pattern across the western US, so the dry weather will only last a few days. The next system will bring snow to Colorado starting on Saturday, and the snow should continue through Monday. This storm will likely take a more northern track, which means that it could bring higher totals to Steamboat, with powder days possible on Sunday and/or Monday.
