Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
Finally … we saw MORE snow than I was expecting. It’s about time that a storm over produced! Officially at mid-mountain we picked up 2 inches on Tuesday and another 2 inches on Tuesday evening. At the summit, looks like snowfall on Tuesday amounted to 4 inches. All of this means that you’ll find some fresh snow across the mountain, the groomers will likely be soft and grippy now on Wednesday morning.
After low clouds clear in the morning, we should see plenty of sunshine on Wednesday, with the sun continuing to shine on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will be warmer on Thursday and Friday with on-mountain highs in the 40s.
The next chance for snow will arrive on Saturday afternoon and continue through Monday morning. The wind direction during this time will be from the west, which is favorable for Steamboat, so I think we have a good chance of picking up 4-8 inches from this system, with soft turns on Sunday and perhaps Monday morning as well.
Following that storm, most of next week will be dry and warm leading up to closing weekend on April 15-16.
