Update

The weather on Thursday and Friday should be mostly perfect with lots of sunshine, cool morning temperatures, and then highs rising into the mid-40s at mid-mountain.

On Saturday, look for more clouds and a gusty wind by midday and afternoon. Then we’ll have a chance for snow starting on Saturday evening and snow showers could continue through Sunday and into Monday morning. The track of this storm will be over northern Colorado, which will bring a wind from the west. This is a pretty good direction for Steamboat, so I think we’ll get 4-8 inches of snow from this storm, with the best chance of finding powder on Sunday and perhaps Monday morning first chair.

After this system, it appears that most of next week, leading up to closing weekend, will be sunny and dry with temperatures in the 40s, or in other words, classic spring skiing!
