Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

The upper mountains received a quick dusting of snow from a passing shower on Friday afternoon.

Now, Saturday will be a mostly sunny day with high temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s. Sunday and Monday will be similar to Saturday but with warmer temperatures topping out in the upper 40s at mid-mountain. Snow conditions should be soft during the middle of the day and afternoon due to the warmer temperatures.

Looking ahead to next week, there will be two weak storms that should bring some flakes to Steamboat. We could see light accumulations late Monday night into Tuesday morning, and again late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Neither storm looks significant at this point, though you might get to enjoy a bit of fresh snow on Tuesday morning and Thursday morning.

During the first few days of December, a slow-moving storm will move into the western US. This storm could bring snow to Colorado sometime between December 3-5, though it might actually move more slowly than the models anticipate, so the chance for snow at Steamboat could wait until December 5th or beyond.

Thanks for reading and I hope to bring you a snowier forecast in future updates!
