Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

I hope you had a Merry Christmas skiing powder at Steamboat!

Snow fell through the morning on Monday, with a storm total of about 11 inches at mid-mountain. The total snowfall from three-and-a-half-days between Thursday night and Monday midday was 31 inches … very impressive! This snow allowed Steamboat to open more terrain, and now about 60% of the trails are open (95 of 165).

The forecast for the rest of the week looks dry and at least partly sunny, with just a low chance of a few flurries or snow showers now and again as the storm track stays to our north. Then we’ll have a better chance of accumulating snow on Saturday night and Sunday as a weak system moves south toward Colorado.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned each morning for a new update!
