Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

You’ll find Wednesday morning’s temperatures around 5-10F at the base, around 20-25F at mid-mountain, and between 10-15F at the summit. Yes, temperatures vary widely across Steamboat, especially in the morning following a night of clear skies.

Wednesday’s high temperature should be in the upper 20s to low 30s with partly to mostly sunny skies. There is not much more to ask for beyond comfortable temperatures, sunshine, more than three-quarters of the mountain open (127 of 165 trails), and 32 inches of snow in the past 7 days.

The forecast for Thursday and Friday will be similar to Wednesday with comfortable temperatures (highs in the 30s), partly to mostly sunny skies, and perhaps just a flurry or a few clouds at times as weak storms pass by to the north of Colorado.

Our next chance for snow will arrive on Saturday night when we could see a quick 1-3 inches during the evening. This new snow would soften the slopes for Sunday morning.

After that, I think the first few days of January will be dry, then stormier weather should return between about January 5-10.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for daily updates each morning!
