Heavy Snow & High Winds Monday Night - Thu Morning...

Summary

- The moisture streaming into northern CA will push south into Tahoe Monday afternoon through Thursday morning. Expect heavy snow and high winds through the period. We could see 2-6 feet on the mountains over the 3 days, and 1.5 - 4 feet at lake level. Strong ridgetop winds up to 70+ mph. Snow levels slowly rising from 5,000-6,500 feet through Wednesday, before falling below 5,000 feet Wednesday night. - We could see a break for Thursday night into Friday, with some sun for Friday. Highs into the 30's. - We may not see much of a break as the next storm should push in by Friday night and last into Sunday before moving out. This storm could see snow levels peak around 6,500 feet before falling. We could see several inches of snow or more on the mountains over the weekend. - The active pattern could continue into the 2nd week of March.
