Snow Continues into Thursday, More Snow This Weekend & Next Week...

Summary

- The moisture streaming into northern CA will shift north Tuesday bringing some lighter snow and more shadowing. Then Tuesday night into Wednesday morning heavy snow pushes back in. The snow should back off again on Wednesday afternoon and evening, then the final wave of heavier snow moves in later Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with scattered snow showers Thursday before the storm ends. Ridgetop winds continuing to gust 70-80+ mph through Wednesday night then coming down some Thursday. Snow levels fluctuating between 6,000-7,000 feet through Wednesday night before falling Thursday. We could see an additional 1-3 feet of snow on the mountains by Thursday evening. - We should see a break for Thursday night into Friday, with some sun possible for Friday. Lighter winds and highs into the 30's. - We may not see much of a break as the next storm should push in later Friday night and last into Sunday before moving out. This storm could see snow levels fluctuating between 6,000-7,000 feet. We could see 6-12+ inches of snow on the mountains over the weekend. - We could see a break on Monday, then the next storm could move in next Tuesday-Wednesday with more snow. - The active pattern could continue into the 2nd week of March.
