Fresh Tracks & Snow Showers...
Summary
- Monday through Christmas Day will be cold and snow showery as weak systems drop down the coast. The best chance for accumulating snow will be Monday with a general 1-3 inches of snow possible across the Tahoe Basin. Tuesday we may see some sun with a few scattered snow showers. Then a chance for a dusting to an inch of snow on Christmas Day as another weak system moves by. Highs in the 20s on the mountains and 30s at lake level with light winds. - High pressure builds in starting Thursday into the weekend. That will bring drier weather with sunny skies and highs into the 30s for all elevations. We could see a final weak system move through Sunday night with a dusting of snow. - Going into the end of the month and the first week of January, it looks like we could see a dry pattern with high pressure sitting off the West Coast blocking storms.
