Rain to Snow Saturday Night into Sunday, Dry/Mild Pattern Coming...

Summary

- Partly to mostly cloudy skies Saturday with highs in the 40s. Light winds only gusting up to 30 mph by afternoon. - The next storm pushes in rain & snow around 9 PM - 12 AM Saturday night, lasting into Sunday morning before ending by late morning. Snow showers could linger on the crest. Snow levels may start around 8000 ft. before falling to near lake level by the end Sunday morning. We could see nothing up to an inch or two at lake level, and 2-9 inches of snow on the mountains above 7k by Sunday afternoon. Ridgetop winds gusting to 50+ mph early Sunday and then becoming lighter throughout the day. - Monday looks like a mostly sunny day with highs in the 30s for the upper elevations and 40s at lake level. Then Tuesday we could see some clouds from a weak system moving through to the north. Similar temperatures to Monday and lighter winds continuing. - Starting Wednesday through next weekend a strong area of high pressure builds in over CA. That will bring dry and sunny weather along with mild temperatures. Highs into the 50s at lake level by Thursday into next weekend.
