Milder thru Saturday, Windy & Colder Sunday with a Dusting Possible...

Summary

- Partly to mostly cloudy skies Wednesday, then mostly sunny skies Thursday - Saturday. It will be milder with highs into the 40s Wednesday, and then 40s on the upper mountains & 50s at lake level for Thursday - Saturday. Gusty north winds for Wednesday up to 40+ mph over the ridges, becoming lighter starting Thursday, and then increasing again on Saturday with gusts to 60+ mph by afternoon. - A cold front moves through from the north on Sunday morning with a quick shot of light snow possible. Temperatures drop into the 30s for highs. We will see strong northeast winds on the mountains making it feel even colder, and possibly closing some upper mtn lifts. Only expecting a dusting of snow at best for most locations, with 1-2 inches of snow possible on the mountains on the east side of the lake and south of the Tahoe Basin. - The cold pattern sticks around through the week of the 10th. We may see additional weak systems move down from the north throughout the week bringing shots of light snow. It is possible that one of the systems could track off the coast and pull in more moisture, so we will keep an eye on that.
