Summary
- Expecting a cold day for Sunday with highs only in the 20s. Cold northeast winds gusting to 30+ mph over the ridges in the morning increasing to 50+ by afternoon. Snow showers in the morning diminishing through the afternoon with some clearing. We could see a final 1-3 inches on the mountains. - Monday should be cool with sunny skies and highs in the 30 for the upper elevations and 40s at lake level Monday, with northeast winds still gusting to 60+ mph over the ridges in the morning and 40+ by afternoon. - Then lighter winds, sunny skies, and milder temperatures throughout the rest of the week. Highs into the 40s for the upper elevations and 50s at lake level. - The next system digs into the West Coast by Friday night into Saturday. Still not clear if this will be a weak or moderate systems so we will track it all week. - The week of the 9th a large system off the coast may slowly move inland with heavy precipitation possible for CA. The pattern could remain more active through mid-month.
