- Mostly sunny skies, and milder temperatures through Friday. Highs in the 40s for the upper elevations and 50s at lake level. Thursday into Friday we will see increasing winds gusting from the southwest up to 30+ mph over the ridges Thursday and 50+ mph Friday. - The next system digs into CA Saturday. We could see snow showers through the day on Saturday becoming more scattered Saturday night. Snow levels below lake level. We could see a dusting up to 2 inches at lake level, and 3-5 inches of snow to the mountains. Highs dropping back into the 30s on the mountains for the weekend and near 40 degrees at lake level. - Clouds and a few scattered snow showers over the mountains remain a possibility Sunday through Monday as moisture from a system off the coast could move into the Sierra. A coating up to a few inches of snow could accumulate on the mountains. Highs int he 30s on the mountains and 40s at lake level. - Tuesday - Thursday, the storm off the coast moves into CA. The exact track of the low will determine where we see the heaviest precipitation amounts but the heaviest amounts look to fall south of Tahoe. We could see some light-moderate precipitation amounts and rising snow levels. - The active pattern may continue through the 3rd week of March.
