Reminder: This season is starting with a much lower snowpack compared to the average and compared to last season, and the ski area is not yet open. Telluride plans to open on December 2, 2023 (latest update here).

Monday was mostly sunny and chilly with high temperatures in the upper teens to low 20s.

Tuesday will deliver similar weather conditions with high temperatures also in the 20s and mostly sunny skies. This chilly air should allow snowmaking to continue and for the natural snow to stick around and not melt.

Wednesday will be another dry day with a high temperature in the 20s, and we'll see more clouds filtering the sunshine.

The next storm could bring snow as early as Thursday, November 30, with snow possible through about Sunday, December 3.

The first part of the storm on Friday into early Saturday could produce less snow due to an unfavorable wind direction from the southwest.

The second part of the storm from Saturday through Sunday could produce more snow due to a favorable wind direction from the west and west-northwest.

The latest forecast models continue to show decent to significant snow accumulations, with a chance for 6-12+ inches of snow by the end of Sunday. The best chance for softer turns will likely be on Saturday into Sunday, and perhaps this storm will help the operations team to open more terrain into early next week.

Next week should bring dry weather for at least a few days, likely from later on Monday, December 4 through about Thursday, December 7, with mid-week high temperatures in the 30s.

Then the next storm could also be timed for a weekend, with snow possible sometime between Friday, December 8 and Sunday, December 10. Only about 50% of model versions show that this storm will bring snow to Colorado, so do your snow dance as we'll need luck to be on our side!
