Sun returns on Saturday

Summary

We were on the southern edge of the storm on Friday, and now the weekend should be dry and sunnier with more snow possible on Thursday.

Update

We were on the southern edge of Friday's storm, and we were fortunate to see 1-2 inches of snow on Friday morning as the first phase of the storm sagged south. Then the second phase of the storm on Friday night stayed mostly to our north, with just a few snow showers sagging over the mountain.

Looking ahead, we'll see dry and sunnier weather from Saturday through Wednesday (temperatures on Saturday will be chilly, with highs in the single digits to low teens), and then a southern storm might bring some flakes around Thursday, December 14. After that, our next chance for a storm will be around December 18-20.

In the coming days, I'll spend more time discussing the longer-range outlook through the end of December.
