New snow on Friday morning and maybe on Saturday morning, too

Summary

Light snow fell on Thursday and Thursday night, and another fast-moving storm could bring a few flakes on Friday night.

Update

Thursday

Thursday and Thursday night brought mixed weather, with times of snow and times of dry weather. We eked out about 2 inches of snow during the day and overnight from the storm that tracked to our north.

Friday

Friday will be on the drier side with partly cloudy skies, maybe some snow showers, and a high temperature in the upper teens to low 20s. We will be between storms during the day.

From late Friday night to early Saturday morning, the next fast-moving storm will bring track over northern Colorado and should brush by us with light snow and maybe a coating to 2 inches of accumulation.

Saturday

Saturday with start with maybe a bit of new snow from Friday night, and the weather on Saturday should transition from morning clouds and snow showers to sunny, with a high temperature in the upper teens to low 20s.

Longer Range

Our next chances for snow will be from Sunday through Monday morning, and then again from Wednesday to Thursday (February 21-22). While I have low confidence in the forecast for both of these storms, the latest forecast models show a decent chance for at least a few inches of snow from each system with a possible refresh on Monday morning and Thursday morning.

After that, I have no idea what will happen during the weekend of February 24-25, and then I have decently high confidence that a stormy pattern will set up over the Rockies during the final week of the month (February 26 - March 2). Hopefully, this stormy pattern will bring multiple days of snow to us here in Colorado.

My next update will be Saturday morning.
