Thursday

A storm on Wednesday night and Thursday morning delivered a few flakes, but the meaningful accumulation stayed well to the north of Telluride.

Thursday's high temperature should be in the upper 20s with partly sunny skies.

Also, terrain update as some hike-to runs are now open.

Friday

Friday will be dry, sunny, and warmer with a high temperature of around 35°F.

Saturday

Saturday will start with dry weather and a high temperature in the mid-20s. Then during Saturday midday and afternoon, the next storm will approach Colorado and should deliver a coating to a few inches of snow by the afternoon or early evening.

Sunday

Sunday could offer a few inches of new snow for the first chair as the storm will likely track far enough to the south to bring snow to all of Colorado. I expect 2-4 inches of new snow for the first chair and likely additional accumulation during the morning. There is some upside potential to this storm as the system will rapidly strengthen just after it crosses Colorado and there should be plentiful moisture in the air. The high temperature on Sunday will be in the teens.

Longer Range

On Monday and Tuesday, snow showers may continue with light additional snow accumulation, and the high temperature will be in the teens.

Wednesday and Thursday could trend toward dry weather.

And then there will be a chance for another storm starting on or around January 10.
