Thursday Morning Powder

On Wednesday night, I expected a storm to drop a few inches of snow. In real life, the storm dropped 7-10 inches across the mountain.

The snow stake shows about 7 inches:

And on-mountain sensors show 7-10 inches.

This is an excellent result from a storm that did not have all factors aligned in favor of intense snowfall. Also, the snow quality should be excellent (pretty fluffy) because the temperature was in the lower teens during the snowfall.

Enjoy the powder on Thursday morning, and the temperature will be comfortable with a high in the low 20s.

Looking Ahead

Friday through Tuesday will be dry and warmer each day as readings push into the upper 30s.

The next chance for snow will be around February 5-8, and we'll figure out that storm as the time comes closer.
