This week's forecast

The weather pattern is stuck. If you're getting snow, you'll continue to get it. And if you're not getting snow, the weather will stay dry.

The snow forecast for December 10-15 shows that most of the action will be in the northeast. Notice, though, that a bit of snow is showing up in the northwest. That will be closer to December 14-15.

Looking ahead to December 15-20, the northeast will stay snowy, and also, snow will return to the northwest and the northern Rockies. This means that British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming will get back in on the action.

If we push out another five days, the forecasts for December 20-25 show that the coldest air will likely stay in the northeast. This means that the east will head into late December with a lot of open terrain. The Northwest could also see healthy snow, while the central Rockies around California, Utah, and Colorado will likely receive little snow. Super bummer.
