Utah Daily Snow

Quiet End to April
Summary
A weak storm system will bring a round of showers to primarily northern Utah Wednesday night into Thursday. Then, high pressure takes control for a mostly dry and warm end to April.
Short Term Forecast
Clouds have increased in Northern Utah today (Wednesday) in advance of a system pushing in. A few showers have already sprung up this morning with light snow falling in LCC right now. Those showers should die down this afternoon, then fire back up again tonight. This is not a strong system by any means, but we should see some showers and high elevation snow tonight into Thursday. Accumulations in the highest elevations could be in the 2-4" range with perhaps a bit more in a favored area like LCC.
We then clear out by Friday and warm up into the weekend with mostly sunny conditions.
Extended Forecast
Next week looks like picture-perfect weather for outdoor recreation with temps in the 70s in the lower valleys with 50s in the mountains. This will likely be a major melt-out week in the high elevations. Obviously, snow is possible throughout the month of May, but it looks like spring has fully arrived to close out April.
I will probably do a season wrap-up post toward the end of the month.
