Dry Pattern for a while, plus Whistler travel guide coming soon

Update

As promised, a high-pressure ridge will produce a mostly dry pattern for Whistler, BC and much of the Northwest at least through mid-October, maybe beyond. The high will divert storms well to the north, leaving the ski slopes mainly snow-free. Typically the weather pattern shifts more active after about Oct 20th. Sure enough, the models were indicating that, but now the models are hanging on to that high-pressure ridge, perpetuating the dry trend, beyond mid-month. As a result, I am not as confident a respectable weather change will ensue by late in October.

I have received a lot of feedback, as people are planing Whistler trips for this season. I have skied there for decades and have some insight for you. Whether you are flying in or driving, I have information that will assist you in planning. What to expect from the mountain, the weather, the Village, local tips, etc. I am preparing a ski travel guide to Whistler. I plan to post it here about Oct 19, so check back.
