Update

We saw snow showers on Monday, which resulted in a dusting of accumulation, then the more intense snow hit on Monday evening with about 8-9 inches falling overnight. The official Tuesday morning snow report shows 8 inches at the mid-mountain snow stake, though my eye sees about 9 inches.

Tuesday morning’s snow will likely be on the denser side due to the wind and cold temperatures. Speaking of temperatures, they will start the day at 0-5F above zero and will likely not get much warmer. Even though we will have lingering moisture and storm energy over Colorado, the cold temperatures on Tuesday will limit any additional snow to 1-2 inches.

Then Tuesday night and Wednesday will be dry.

From Wednesday night through Sunday, a series of storms of weak to moderate strength should move across Colorado. I do not have much confidence in the details of this snowfall, but multiple days of light snow could add up to soft conditions on Saturday, perhaps Sunday afternoon, and then we could see another system during the middle of next week.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
