Winter Park Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Winter Park Daily Snow

Update

I hope you enjoyed the powder on Friday, as an additional 3-4 inches accumulated in the morning on top of the 10 inches that fell on Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. If you missed that powder day, don't worry because more powder is coming!

Saturday will be a beautiful day with warm temperatures (in the 30s) and lots of sunshine. Enjoy!

The next storm will bring a few snow showers around Sunday midday, then we should see steadier snow on Sunday afternoon. You might find a few inches of powder during the final few runs of the day.

Then on Sunday night, the storm will strengthen as it moves east into southwestern Kansas, and this storm track will result in a wind blowing from the northwest. The combination of the northwest wind, wrap-around moisture, and mountaintop temperatures cooling to the 10-15F range can bring significant snowfall to Winter Park, so keep your eye on the mid-mountain snow stake camera to see if Monday morning will offer 4-8+ inches of fresh, fluffy powder (I think it will, and totals could be higher than this).

Snow showers should continue through Monday morning, then we’ll see the snow come to an end on Monday afternoon.

Tuesday morning should be dry, then a weak system might bring an additional few inches later on Tuesday and on Tuesday night, which means that there could be a low-end powder morning on Wednesday.

Wednesday might be the only fully dry day of the week, as we’ll see the next storm arrive sometime around Thursday and likely continue through Saturday with significant snow totals possible.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
