Update

Snow through Saturday

We are starting the day with 1 inch of snow that fell late on Friday night. Snow showers should continue through at least midday with another few inches of accumulation. Enjoy this Saturday with soft snow!

Break on Sunday

Sunday morning will start with some sunshine and dry weather. By late morning and midday, clouds should thicken and snow showers should return by the afternoon.

Snow Sunday night through Monday

It’s only 48 hours until this storm begins, but I still have low confidence in the forecast. Moisture will return and there should be enough energy in the atmosphere to lift this moisture and convert it into snow, though the details of where the best energy will track and when it will arrive are still hard to pin down. For now, I’ll say that we should see an additional 1-3 inches from Sunday evening through Monday night or Tuesday morning and that the softest snow could be on Monday.

Tuesday to Thursday

Tuesday will likely be dry, then a storm will track far to our south from Tuesday night through Wednesday. Expect little snow through Wednesday due to the southern storm giving us an unfavorable wind from the south, though if the wind swings a bit more from the east we could see more snow. Then on Wednesday night and Thursday, the wind direction could switch to blow from the west or northwest, and this could bring a better chance for snow and maybe there will be a few inches by Thursday.

New Years system

The next solid chance for snow should come around New Years, plus or minus a day.
