Winter Park Daily Snow

Update
Tuesday – Wednesday
The first wave of snow showers moved through on Monday night, delivering a dusting to 1 inch to the mountain. This snow was a bit earlier than I expected.
I am looking forward to additional waves of snow showers to move through on Tuesday and Wednesday. I have low confidence in the exact timing of all the showers, though all models do agree that the best chance for steady snow will be on Tuesday evening through about midnight.
Total additional snowfall could be 2-5 inches, and we’ll likely see the best chance for the softest conditions on Wednesday morning and also, maybe, on Thursday morning. Unless we get much more snow than the forecast, look for the best conditions to be the fresh snow on top of groomers which do not have the melt/freeze crust.
Also, this is a warm storm, so do not be surprised to see raindrops near the base during the day or during times of lighter precipitation.
Thursday – Friday
We’ll swing back to dry weather with warmer afternoon high temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s.
Saturday – Sunday
We could see light showers from late Friday through Saturday, and then there is a chance for a period of intense snow on Saturday night that could result in 2-6 inches, providing soft conditions on Sunday morning.
Longer Range
I am still looking forward to the chance for a colder and stronger storm (or storms) across the western US (and maybe including Colorado) between about April 10-15. Closing day for Winter Park is April 21st and Mary Jane will be open through May 12th.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
