Winter Park Daily Snow

Snow and a cold front arrive on Saturday afternoon at Winter Park
Summary
Saturday will start out dry then we’ll see snow and colder temperatures on Saturday afternoon and evening with 4-8 inches of snow accumulation by Sunday morning.
Short Term Forecast
On Friday, we saw snow showers during the day and into the early evening with 1-2 inches of snow accumulating across the mountain.
Now on Saturday morning, skies are mostly cloudy as we await the next storm. I expect snow showers to ramp up during the late afternoon with a period of intense snow sometime late in the afternoon or around sunset, and then snow showers should continue off-and-on into Sunday morning.
For snow accumulations, based on the latest data, I am going to lower my expectations a bit down to 4-8 inches by Sunday morning, and Sunday morning should still be the best time to enjoy the new snow.
Extended Forecast
Monday and Tuesday should be mostly dry though I can’t rule out a few lingering snow showers.
Wednesday and Thursday will be our next chance for snow. This storm could track toward south and east Colorado which would bring us lower snow totals.
Then from Friday through Sunday, February 26-28, one or more storms could bring more snow to Colorado. The jury (models) have not yet come to an agreement about the track of these systems, so we’ll need to hang tight for a few more days before we can have more confidence in the forecast.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
