Snow showers on Friday & Friday night at Winter Park

Summary

Snow showers dropped 5 inches on Thursday night, and we should see another few inches on Friday and Friday night.

Short Term Forecast

On Thursday we saw snow showers with just a bit of accumulation, and then on Thursday night 5 inches accumulated on the mid-mountain snow stake. That was a welcome surprise!

Now on Friday, we’ll see additional snow showers during the day and through Friday night as well. Accumulations will again be random and light, anything from a coating to about 4 inches.

Saturday could offer a little bit of new snow for the morning's first chair if we see some showers on Friday night.

Otherwise, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be dry and warmer each day with highs in the 20s on Saturday and in the 30s on Sunday and Monday.

Extended Forecast

The next storm will bring snow from Monday evening through Tuesday. My initial estimate is for about 4-8 inches with the best chance for powder on Tuesday. We will dial in this forecast over the next few days.

Then April 1-5 should be dry and warm.

Between April 6-10, most longer-range models show a chance for snow to return, so we will likely not be done with winter just yet!

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
