Snow possible Thursday evening and Friday evening at Winter Park
Summary
Snow showers could deliver a few inches on Thursday evening and Friday evening. Then we’ll see dry weather on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with the next storm from Monday night through Tuesday.
Short Term Forecast
On Wednesday, we enjoyed a mixed day with some sun, some dry weather, and a few snow showers with light accumulations.
Now on Thursday morning, the sky is dry, though the next storm in this week’s cycle could bring more clouds and showers from Thursday afternoon through Thursday night into Friday morning. While there could be accumulating snow during this time, the wind direction from the southwest is not favorable for significant accumulations.
From Friday midday through Friday night, the wind direction will switch to blow from the west and northwest and this is more favorable for accumulating snow. We will likely see showers during this time and with some luck, there could be a little bit of powder to enjoy either later on Friday or early on Saturday.
Extended Forecast
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be dry. Temperatures on Saturday should rise into the 20s and 30s and on Sunday and Monday afternoon high temperatures could rise into the 30s and 40s.
The next chance for snow will be from Monday night through Tuesday when a storm tracks across Colorado from the northwest. There should be some new snow to cruise around on during the day on Tuesday and maybe into Wednesday morning.
Then it looks like the first week of April will be full-on springtime with dry weather and warm, sunny days.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
