Windy Sunday and Monday, powder possible on Wednesday morning

Summary

Sunday and Monday will be dry, warm, and windy. Then snow will arrive on Tuesday and Tuesday night with double-digit snowfall possible by Wednesday morning.

Short Term Forecast

On Saturday night, we saw a few snow showers around but no accumulations.

On Sunday and Monday, we’ll see warm temperatures with highs in the 40s, and the wind will be gusty during the midday and afternoon with speeds of 40-50mph.

Tuesday will be a transition day with snow showers increasing throughout the day.

Then on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, we should see intense snow over the northeastern mountains and Wednesday morning’s snow totals could be 6-12+ inches. Temperatures will be on the warm side, in the 20s during the snowfall, so the powder quality could be medium to a bit thick, but still, I am keeping an eye on Wednesday morning for potential powder.

Extended Forecast

Showers could continue on Wednesday into Thursday morning.

Then we should see dry weather from Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon with another storm possible around May 3-4.

Remember that the Winter Park side closes today on Sunday, April 25 and the Mary Jane side will remain open through Sunday, May 9.
