Cooler Sunday then snow on Tuesday
Summary
Temperatures will be warm through Saturday then cool a few degrees on Sunday. Our next chances for snow will be on December 7 and December 11.
Update
Our weather this week is simply 'more of the same' with warm daytime highs in the 30s and 40s and overnight lows that are marginal for snowmaking.
Below, the mid-mountain snow stake is not seeing any action.
On Sunday, there will be a change in the forecast. Temperatures will be cooler with highs in the 20s and 30s, and lows will dip well below freezing, which should help mountain operations make more snow.
Looking to next week, Tuesday is when we'll have a chance for natural snow. The energy from the incoming storm may not track directly over Colorado, but the system will bring a lot of moisture, and this combination of decent energy and a lot of moisture should result in at least decent snow totals with 6+ inches not out of the question.
After that system, we will dry out for a few days later next week, and then another (possibly significant) storm could arrive around Saturday, December 11.
