Winter Park Daily Snow
By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 8 months ago February 28, 2024
Dry through Saturday, then a storm Sunday into Monday
Summary
Tuesday's storm delivered powder, and now we'll see sunny weather from Wednesday through Saturday. After that, the next storm should bring snow from Sunday, March 3 to Monday, March 4.
Update
Tuesday
Tuesday was a wild day with intense snow and gusty winds in the morning, and we picked up 7 inches at mid-mountain in just a few hours on Tuesday morning to midday, with about another inch accumulating early on Tuesday evening.
Wednesday
On Wednesday morning, the storm has moved away, leaving us with clear skies and cold temperatures close to 0°F at sunrise.
Wednesday will be sunny all day with temperatures rapidly rising into the teens to low 20s by midday and early afternoon.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, expect mostly sunny skies and warm daytime highs reaching into the low 30s.
Sunday, Monday
The next storm should bring snow from Saturday night to Monday, and an early look at the details of the storm shows that the highest chance for powder will be on Sunday. Snow totals could reach the double digits, and we'll dial in the details of this storm during the coming days.
Longer Range
We may see drier weather during the middle of next week (Tuesday, March 5 to Wednesday, March 6), and then another storm should bring snow to Colorado sometime in the range of Thursday, March 7 to Saturday, March 9.
My next update will be Thursday morning.
