Monday
Monday will once again start with an inversion. Temperatures at the base will be slightly cooler (teens) with readings around 20°F up on the mountain.
The rest of the day will be warmer with a high temperature of around 30°F and sunny skies.
Tuesday to Saturday
The forecast is unchanged throughout the week. Tuesday through Saturday will be dry and mostly sunny. Temperatures will be comfortable with daytime highs in the 30s and perhaps air that's a few degrees cooler on Friday.
Sunday, December 8 - Monday, December 9
The latest forecast data continues to show a decent chance for snow starting sometime on Sunday, December, with some powder possible on Monday, December 9. Forecast models range from just a dusting of snow to 5+ inches, and we'll need another few days to wait for a consensus to develop and have more confidence in the forecast.
Longer Range
All longer-range forecast models show a signal that storminess will develop over the western U.S., and this signal will increase our odds for snow here in Colorado. It'll be at least another few days until I have more confidence in the forecast beyond December 9th, and I'll share what I know when I know.
In the meantime, we have a solid base, the low sun angle of early December will help to preserve our snowpack, and more terrain should open over the coming days and weeks, so we're in an okay spot for early December, despite the ten days of dry weather that is following Thanksgiving.
