Tuesday

Tuesday will be another day with a morning temperature inversion. Temperatures at the base will be colder (teens) with warmer air at the summit (20s).

The rest of Tuesday will be warmer with a high temperature in the low-30s and sunny skies.

Wednesday to Saturday

The forecast is unchanged throughout the week. Wednesday through Saturday will be dry and mostly sunny. Temperatures will be comfortable with daytime highs in the low-30s except for Friday which will be a bit cooler with a high temperature of around 30°F.

Sunday, December 8 - Monday, December 9

The latest data shows higher odds for snow early next week as most weather forecast models agree that a storm will impact Colorado. Snow should start any time between Sunday and Monday morning, and will likely continue through Monday afternoon or Monday night. 

My early estimate for snow totals is 3-8 inches, with Monday offering the highest odds to ride some fresh flakes. Temperatures will be colder early next week with a high temperature in the single digits or teens.

Longer Range

The middle of next week is likely to be dry, but some clouds and snow showers might hang around northern Colorado if we're lucky.

Then the next higher chance for snowfall will be around December 14-17, though that's still at the far end of the range of predictability (otherwise known as 'fantasy land') so it'll be at least another few days before we have more confidence in the forecast out to mid-December.

In the meantime, we have a solid base, the low sun angle of early December will help to preserve our snowpack, and more terrain should open over the coming days and weeks, so we're in an okay spot for early December, despite the ten days of dry weather that is following Thanksgiving.
